'Preacher' Up, 'Loaded' Debuts Low | 2017-07-17

AMC's 'Preacher' hit a three-week high in the 18-49s and in total viewers with a 0.42 demo and 1,269,000 total viewers for Monday's broadcast. This is up from last week's 0.40/1,186,000. 'Preacher' notched a 0.25 in adults 18-34, and a 0.54 in adults 25-54. Also on AMC was the series premiere of 'Loaded'. The show began with a dismal 0.08 adults 18-49 rating, and only 276,000 viewers, losing a whopping 460% of its 'Preacher' lead-in. The show premiered on Channel 4 in Britain back on May 8, to only 540,000 viewers and a 3.7 share, despite its lead-in having 1.03 million and its leadout having 770,000. 

On VH1, 'Love & Hip Hop Atlanta' led the day on cable (and 3rd overall including broadcast) with a 1.37 18-49 rating and 2,734,000 viewers; up from last week's 1.33/2.714,000. It scored a 2.0 in females 18-49 and a 0.8 in males. 'Basketball Wives' held 77% of its lead-in with a 1.05 18-49 rating and 2,192,000 viewers (down from last week's 1.07/2,258,000); the 18-49s were split 1.7 females to 0.4 males. Finally, 'Daytime Divas' at 10pm hit a 0.44 and 1,084,000 viewers. That was 0.7 females to 0.15 males.

USA's 'WWE Entertainment' was at 1.03/1.10/1.08 in the 18-49s for its 3 hours (up from last week's 1.0/0.97/0.95), and ranged between 3,083,000 and 3,237,000 in total viewers. 

'Real Housewives of OC' had the highest Bravo ratings of the day with 1.01 in females 18-49 & 1,728,000 viewers. Also on the network was 'Southern Charm' (0.71/1,280,000), and 2 episodes of 'Sweet Home Oklahoma' at 10pm & 10:30 (0.4/779,000 and 0.32/657,000). 'Watch What Happens Live' had 682,000 at 11pm. 

On Freeform, 'Shadowhunters' rose to 0.22 & 589,000 viewers, up from last week's series low 0.19/455,000. In females 12-34 it notched a 0.34 (up from 0.32). The network's other show, 'Stitchers' was at 0.12 in the 18-49s and 349,000 viewers (up from 0.11/295,000). 

History's 'Pawn Stars' aired 2 episodes which were both up from last week, at 0.34/1,648,000 and 0.35/1,623,000. Its highest demo was in P 50+ where it was at 1.04 and 1.0. 'American Pickers' had 1,960,000 viewers (up from 1,890,000), and a 0.3 rating (down from 0.31). In P 50+ it was at 1.4 (up from 1.3).

On MTV, the eighth season premiere of 'Teen Mom 2' had a 1.27 rating in females 18-49, and 1,487,000 total viewers. This was about even with the season 7B finale on March 20, which had a 1.3 and 1,483,000 viewers. 'Teen Mum' was at 0.58 & 0.45 in females 18-49 for its 2 episodes (about even with last week's 0.58 & 0.42), and had 644,000 & 530,000 in total viewers.

Other shows of note include: Comedy Central's 'The Daily Show' (0.32/867,000), TLC's 'Kate Plus 8' (0.22/781,000), TNT's 'Will' (0.16/471,000), Destination America's 'Ghosts of Shepardstown' (0.12/350,000), CNBC's 'American Greed' (0.07/308,000), and TV One's 'Fatal Attraction' (0.05/213,000). 

A rerun of 'The Middle' on Hallmark took 673,000 at 10:30pm, and a re-airing of the 'Kids Choice Sport Awards' on Nick had 972,000. 

Top cable news show by network: 'Hannity' (Fox News) at 0.22/2,390,000, 'Anderson Cooper 360' (CNN) at 0.23/945,000, 'The Rachel Maddow Show' (MSNBC) at 0.31/2,606,000, and 'Morning Express with Meade' (HLN) at 0.08/242,000 for its 6am hour.

On broadcast, 'The Bachelorette' led at 8pm (1.6/6, 6.21m), followed by 'American Ninja Warrior' (1.5/6, 5.78m), and 'So You Think You Can Dance' (0.7/3, 2.82m). At 9pm was 'Superhuman' (0.5/2, 1.77m), and 'Whose Line is it Anyway' (0.2/1, 943,000). The only new program at 10pm was 'Spartan: Ultimate Team Challenge' (1.0/4, 3.75m).
